Up to approximately 1999 they published 12 maxis, amongst classical and US inspired house and gray zone, operated between house and techno. In todays time this would surely be categorized as techno-house. The project Soap Records rests after that, as all four went on their separate ways. After many years of successfully working on other projects, in 2006 Tony Rios and Andre Walter find together their way back to the studio. This year the circle closes in. Tony Rios and Andre Walter have a finished longplayer ready, but similar to 13 years ago, no suitable label for their material. After nearly 10 years of sleeping beauty time, Soap Records is being re-animated by Toni Rios and Andre Walter. Gene is from Tel Aviv and migrated to New York in early 2008. The three tracks on this EP indeed mark his very first release, even though the precision of individual sounds rather suggest an old studio stager. The longer side A - Goa Morning is about a distinctive spotlight with a bass line, as if especially made for the upcoming summer. It is almost needless to mention, that at least by the break, a grand art piece will be presented on the dance floor. The absolute contrary is – Finsternis ist tief (Darkness is Deep). This track is a perfect Rave tool! The sound of the sirens can be understood as reminiscence of Mathew Dear’s Audion Tracks. A second A-side, however, placed here as B1.
